The Russian Chamber Orchestra brings to Marin County, California, in the San Francisco Bay Area, musical compositions spanning four hundred years, from the well known to the yet-to-be heard masterpieces of classical repertoire, played by musicians consummately trained in the demanding conservatories of Russia. All have performed internationally with world renowned orchestras.

Under the baton of our Director, Alexander Vereshagin, the artistry of each musician is given full range. Mr. Vereshagin was reputed in Russia for his "remarkable method of work" with all instrumentalists. He was equally respected for his work with vocal groups and soloists, for his own piano artistry by which he "brilliantly demonstrated his music skills," and for a "special talent" in composition. His peers are generous in their praise of his knowledge and reputation. We are blessed by his transfer of these talents to our cultural sphere!

This is music to be shared - sensitive, evocative, passionate, innovative. Each venue for the series of concerts is acoustically pleasing and the environment intimate. There is always an opportunity following each concert to meet and mingle with the artists, which often include a superb vocal or instrumental soloist.
